Kona's Role at Red Hawk
Encouraging Attendance: Kona helps motivate students to come to school every day through attendance incentives and celebrations.
Kindness with Kona: Students who demonstrate our Hero expectations of being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe may earn time with Kona as a positive behavior reward.
Supporting Student Well-Being: Kona provides comfort and support to students experiencing anxiety, sadness, stress, or other big emotions during the school day.
Funded by Our PTA: Red Hawk PTA generously funds Kona's visits, allowing him to be on campus one day each week to support our students.
Partnered with Paws to Share: Kona is a certified therapy dog through Paws to Share, a nonprofit organization that brings trained therapy animals into schools and communities.
Hold Harmless Form Required: EVERY student who interacts with Kona must have a signed Hold Harmless Form on file. Click the link below to fill out the Hold Harmless form now!
