California Young Reader Medal

The California Young Reader Medal program encourages and promotes recreational reading. It exposes our students to a variety of genres and writing styles. Each year students in grades one thru five participate in this program. We read each nominated primary title, discuss the book and then the students have an opportunity to vote electronically for their favorite title. Students in upper grades also have the opportunity to read and vote for a Picture Book for Older Readers and Intermediate nominees.
